Villány

Several wineries offer their specialities on the historic cellar row on the main street of Villány. It is worth visiting the Wine Museum, housed in the former Teleki's Cellar. Visitors can see traditional tools of the wine industry, written and artefactual relics and wine bottle mats dating back nearly a century.

The former quarry of the Templom hill in Villány is a very valuable attraction for hikers. Covered by 135–140-million-year-old red limestone, the protected area is a paradise for those interested in paleontology, with an unrivalled ammonite fauna. Reptile vertebrae and remains of shallow sea creatures have been found here.
