Guest information on the recording of personal data

Dear Guests!

We would like to inform you that according to Act CLVI of 2016 on the State Tasks of the Development of Tourist Areas, Act 9/H. § (2), the accommodation user shall present the document referred to in paragraph (1)(b) to the accommodation provider for the purpose of recording the data. Failure to present this document will result in the accommodation provider refusing to provide the accommodation.

As of 1 September 2021, the above-mentioned change in the law will make it a new condition for the use of accommodation services that the user presents his/her identity document to the accommodation provider. Unfortunately, we cannot accept guests who do not have a valid identification card.

Our guests with Hungarian citizenship can identify themselves with their ID card, driving licence or passport.

Guests from the European Union are required to show an identity card or passport.

For guests from third countries, only passports are accepted for identification and document scanning.

For guests aged between 14 and 18:

The legislation does not differentiate between the obligation to present documents for underage guests aged between 14 and 18. Therefore, all guests will be required to present photo identification upon arrival to identify themselves.

There is no age limit for applying for an ID card for children. If you or your travelling companions do not have a valid identity document at the start of your journey, we recommend that you check the conditions for issuing, exchanging and replacing Hungarian identity documents on the information page of Government Windows in good time and take the necessary measures to ensure that all travellers have a valid identity document on arrival at the accommodation.
