Nagyharsány

The beautiful geographical feature of Nagyharsány is the Szársomlyó behind it, the "devil's ploughed" barren mountain (442 m) nature reserve, which is managed by the Danube-Drava National Park. On the western side of the mountain is a quarry that is still in operation.

The open-air workshop and sculpture collection in the eastern quarry of the hill is a popular excursion destination and an internationally renowned workshop for students of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Pécs, as well as for Hungarian and foreign artists. In addition to the monumental and impressive view of the sculpture park, visitors are also attracted by the magnificent view of the vineyards of Villány and the Drava plain. On the Szársomlyó hiking trail, starting from the sculpture park, you can discover the Hungarian Crocus with the help of a guide.
