General information and policies

Dear Guests,

On behalf of my colleagues, I can promise that we will do everything we can to ensure that your holiday is a joyful and smooth one. For this reason, I would like to ask you to take note of and comply with the following guidelines.

1.) Check in – Check out information

Rooms are available from 14:00 on the day of arrival. Please leave the room by 11:00 on the day of departure. Check-in before 14:00 is possible if cleaning is completed by our staff before then. Please inform the hotel in advance by e-mail or telephone if you plan to arrive earlier. On the day of departure, you can extend your stay if there are no guests in the room that day.

Renewal fee: until 12:00 - free of charge, from 12:00 until 14:00 HUF 3.900, from 14:00 until 17:00 HUF 6.900 per room. When leaving the hotel, please return the magnetic card with the card holder to the hotel reception.

Our hotel's wellness area, the Thermal Spa Siklós Baths, is open on arrival and departure days free of charge and without any restrictions during opening hours.

2.) Access

The town of Siklós is located in the southern part of Baranya County, at the foot of the Villányi Hills, 15 km from the Hungarian-Croatian border and 35 km from Pécs. The quickest way to reach Siklós is by car, 2.5 hours from Budapest on the M6 motorway, 30 km from the Bóly exit and 35 km from Pécs on the 58 main road.

4.) E-check in:

Prior to arrival, our hotel software, Hostware, sends a welcome message to the email address provided by our guests in the form of a link, which loads the page and allows them to enter their details, which are automatically entered into our hotel system, so that we only ask for a data check on the spot. If you do not take advantage of the pre-registration option, you will have the opportunity to provide your details at the reception desk at the latest.

5.) Parking

Free parking is available for our guests in the parking lot in front of the hotel, which is guarded by a camera.

6.) Room key

At the end of the check-in process, our guests receive 1 magnetic card per room, and we can increase the number of magnetic cards issued according to the number of guests staying in the room. Please return all the magnetic cards issued to our reception upon check-out.

7.) Visitors

Only guests registered at the reception are allowed in the hotel rooms, please meet visitors in the lobby.

8.) Our basic services

Our basic package includes accommodation, breakfast, unlimited use of the Thermal Spa Siklós Spa during opening hours (children's and adult pools, adventure elements and 2 giant slides, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, wood-fired Russian sauna, steam and aroma cabin and salt room), bathrobe and spa slippers, use of our Cielo Bar billiard room, use of our fitness room and table tennis, use of our "Bambini Mondo" playground, parking and VAT.

9.) Taxes

Tourist tax: 450,-Ft/person/night, over 18 years.

10.) Payment methods:

In addition to cash payment, you can also pay your bill by credit card.

Please, in case of advance payment (gift voucher purchase, etc.), please contact our sales colleagues in writing! In case of failure to do so, we cannot guarantee the identification and acceptance of the amount transferred. During festive and special periods, the hotel reserves the right to collect the advance payment!

11.) Booking with a gift voucher:

Gift vouchers are accepted through the following channels: our own website, Maiutazás, Szallasguru and Pihipakk. Please reference the voucher number when booking! We are not able to accept vouchers on the spot without prior agreement! The gift voucher is a means of payment, so please hand it in at the reception upon arrival! The voucher is not redeemable for cash and we are not able to reimburse the value of unused services! Please inquire about the possibility and conditions of the extension of the expiry date before the expiry date at the following e-mail address (info@hotelcastellosiklos.hu) We cannot offer the possibility of extending the voucher beyond the expiry date, or of using it or refunding its value! The purchased voucher is non-refundable, but the package is not personalised and can be transferred to anyone.

Reservations are always made in writing (we cannot accept reservations made by phone), and are valid only upon confirmation from the hotel! The voucher issued can be redeemed once and cannot be used more than once.

12.) Security

Please note that the hotel cannot be held responsible for any valuables left in the room. Please leave your valuables in the in-room safe, if there is not enough space in the safe, you can leave them in the hotel's reception safe.

13.) Catering

The half-board restaurant service starts with dinner on the day of arrival and ends with breakfast on the day of departure.

Meal times:

Food allergies: we can provide lactose-free, gluten-free and vegetarian meals. We ask our guests to inform us in writing of any special dietary requirements before arrival. Please also note that our kitchen is not gluten-free and cross-contamination may occur.

14.) Other consumption

Food and beverages consumed in the hotel and spa area in addition to the basic service can be charged to the room bill. Food and beverages not purchased in the hotel may be consumed only in the hotel room, while the equipment is being protected. Any damage caused to the equipment shall be compensated by the guest.

15.) Room service

Our hotel offers room service every day from 06:00 to 22:00 from the room service drinks and menu available in the room for an extra charge.

16.) Minibar

Guests can make use of our minibar in the hotel rooms. During the daily cleaning, our staff will charge the consumed products to your room bill and refund the consumed products. On the day of check-out, our reception staff will charge any products consumed on the last night according to the guest's declaration.

17.) Individual electrical appliances

The storage of flammable or explosive materials, the use of coffee makers, water heaters, irons and other electrical appliances in the hotel rooms is prohibited. If you need ironing or laundry services, please contact the hotel reception.

18.) Fire safety

All Guests must comply with the hotel's fire safety policy.

19.) Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in the entire hotel! Smoking is permitted 5 metres from the hotel entrance or in the designated area of our Mediterranean Terrace.

20.) Peace of mind for guests

Please respect the peace and quiet of other guests and do not disturb it by being noisy. Please pay particular attention to each other's quiet after 22:00.

21.) Pets

The hotel is not pet-friendly, so pets are not allowed.

22.) Values of the hotel

It is forbidden to take furnishings and textiles (e.g. blankets, towels, etc.) out of the hotel! On the day of check-out, the bath is free of charge, during which time the bathrobe and towels provided in the room can also be used for a deposit.

Before leaving the room, please make sure that the taps are not left open and that the magnetic card is removed from the wall holder, thus disconnecting the power.

23.) Error report

Guests are kindly requested to report any malfunctions in the room to the hotel reception immediately.

24.) Damages

Any damage caused by negligence or intentionally caused by the hotel will be compensated by the hotel.

25.) Room cleaning

Please request daily cleaning, in any case the "Cleaning please!" indicate with a sign! If daily cleaning is required, our maids are expected between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Please clearly indicate the need to change towels (by throwing the towel on the floor). We want our hotel to be able to operate in an environmentally friendly way, so only request a replacement if necessary! For extra requests, contact the maids or the reception!
